    About Me

    Comments:

I am very pleased with the Midland radios as far as quality. I also have Midland GXT radios and they're great. I researched all of these models and I was very happy to buy these. However I was immediately disappointed with the lack of scramble codes within the 22 channels as in other models. This was a feature I expected since most of their models have it. The second MAJOR issue is the proprietary charging cord which my wife managed to lose before the second charge was needed. Most similar radios can charge with a universal micro-USB cable that everybody has all over the house for Android devices. I now have to take out the batteries and put them in another brand of radio to use the micro-USB charger that other radios use. The third problem with these radios is the belt clip. The belt clip has no "play" in it and it is near impossible for my children to keep them on without losing them. My other radios have decent belt clips or at least a place to mount a lanyard so the kids won't lose them. I should have returned them while I still had the box. My recommendation is to get a radio with the above features and save yourself the trouble with this model.
