The Gemlux Braid Proof Pulley 45mm Ceramic is a compact, heavy-duty dredge pulley engineered specifically for use with braided line. Its recessed roller design prevents braid from slipping between the roller and pulley body, helping eliminate snagging while protecting line under the high loads associated with offshore dredge fishing. Proprietary bearing technology significantly reduces friction compared with traditional plain-bearing pulleys, providing smooth starts and stops that help minimize braid skipping, chafing, and premature wear.

Despite its high load and speed capabilities, the 45mm design is approximately 40% smaller than common 3-inch dredge pulleys, creating a more compact rigging solution without sacrificing performance. A black hard-coat anodized finish improves corrosion resistance, while the snatch-block configuration makes installation and removal simple. The pulley is supplied with a removable strap-to-swivel connection that has been load tested to a breaking strength exceeding 1,400 lbs. Beyond dredges, it can also be used to support offshore teasers such as squid chains, with routine freshwater rinsing being the only maintenance required.
