Toit Split Ring Pliers

The Toit Split Ring Pliers are purpose-built fishing tools designed to open split rings with greater stability, control, and precision than conventional long-nose or triangular-tip pliers. A patent-pending three-dimensional nose cone securely holds the split ring during use, reducing the tendency for the ring to twist or flip while changing hooks or other terminal components. The design also helps minimize unnecessary scratching or gouging of the split ring and its surface coating.

An optional two-stage opening system provides additional control over the split-ring gap. The first stage securely positions and begins opening the ring, while the second-stage twisting action can create additional clearance when required. Micro-adjustment provides greater control over how far the ring is opened. Constructed from drop-forged 410 J1 stainless steel with a PVD TiAlN surface coating, the pliers feature an internally spring-loaded, all-metal design without rubber, plastic, or silicone handles. Small, Medium, and Large sizes are available to accommodate different split-ring applications.
