L.T. Marine Heavy Duty Swivel Base Rod Holders with Backing Plate

The L.T. Marine Heavy Duty Swivel Base Rod Holders with Backing Plate are engineered for demanding offshore and commercial fishing applications where strength, corrosion resistance, and long-term reliability are essential. Constructed from 316L stainless steel throughout, these rod holders are built to handle heavy 130-class tackle, high drag pressures, daytime swordfishing, and offshore trolling. The 1/4" thick, 5" x 4" top plate is polished to a #8 mirror finish and incorporates a recessed rod tube with a heavy-duty TIG weld to minimize flex at this critical connection point.

The 12" long, 2-1/8" diameter rod tube is machined from 1/8" wall 316L stainless steel and accepts #2, #4, and #6 rod butts, 130-class bent butts, and compatible Winthrop Terminator butts. A one-piece swivel mechanism machined from solid 316L stainless steel provides exceptional durability, while a removable pin positioned 9" deep can lock out the swivel for trolling with #2 short butts. Each rod holder includes a 316L stainless steel backing plate and stainless mounting hardware for a complete installation.
