The RonZ Big Game Series 8" Heavy Duty 2.5 oz is a compact big-game soft plastic designed for targeting large tuna and other powerful offshore species when fish are feeding on smaller forage. As the midsized option in the Big Game Series, it delivers much of the strength and action of the larger 10" HD in a reduced profile that can produce strikes when oversized presentations are ignored. The versatile design can be cast, vertically jigged, drifted, or trolled to cover a wide range of offshore situations.

The 2.5 oz jig head incorporates a heavy-duty swivel system with a free-swinging 4X Gamakatsu Live Bait or BKK premium hook connected by heavy wire. This articulated design allows the hook to move independently from the jig head, reducing the leverage a powerful fish can use to throw the lure during the fight. Despite its relatively compact 8" profile, the lure is built for serious big-game pressure and has proven capable of landing tuna exceeding 200 lb.
