The Daiwa Seaborg Dendoh Rods are purpose-built for advanced deep drop techniques targeting swordfish, grouper, snapper, rock cod, and other deepwater species. Designed for anglers fishing extreme depths, this series incorporates Daiwa X45 bias carbon technology, wrapping reinforcing carbon fiber at a 45-degree angle to strengthen the blank and prevent twisting or ovalization under heavy load. Proven AFTCO guides connect line to blank for reliable performance in demanding deepwater conditions. Two models are available to suit different preferences and applications. The Standard model features a long bent butt with a sharp anodized finish, Daiwa’s durable foregrip wrapping to prevent slipping, and a swivel tip top to reduce awkward line angles and improve boatside landings. The Winthrop model offers upgraded appointments, including a Terminator adjustable butt for versatile setup options, an ultra-durable wrapped foregrip, and a choice of standard AFTCO guides or AFTCO roller guides with a swivel tip top.
