Shimano Stella SW D Spinning Reels
The Shimano Stella SW D Spinning Reels represent Shimano's flagship saltwater spinning reel technology, engineered for exceptional strength, smoothness, and durability when targeting powerful offshore gamefish. Built around a rigid HAGANE Body, the Stella SW D incorporates InfinityXross gearing with wider gear teeth that distribute heavy loads more evenly for improved strength and longevity. InfinityDrive technology reduces rotational resistance for effortless cranking under extreme pressure, while SilentDrive minimizes internal vibration and mechanical noise for exceptionally smooth operation. InfinityLoop oscillation produces precise, uniform line lay to improve casting distance, drag consistency, and line management during demanding offshore applications.
Shimano's advanced XX Tough Drag system, featured on sizes 10000 and larger, incorporates enlarged drag washers for improved heat dissipation, durability, and consistent pressure throughout prolonged fights. Select larger models also feature Heatsink technology to reduce spool temperatures by up to 30% under heavy drag loads. X-Protect and X-Shield technologies provide enhanced protection against saltwater intrusion, while the Anti-Twist Fin helps maintain line tension and prevent uneven line winding during slack-line situations. With expanded sizing up to 25000 and an XG gear ratio option on the 6000, the Stella SW D delivers premium performance for targeting tuna, giant trevally, billfish, and other powerful saltwater predators.
