Daiwa Saltiga Saltwater Spinning Reels

The Daiwa Saltiga Saltwater Spinning Reels are engineered for demanding offshore fishing with a rigid aluminum Monocoque body, heavy-duty drivetrain, and high-capacity drag system. The one-piece MQ body eliminates the traditional side plate, increasing structural rigidity while creating additional internal space for larger gearing. A redesigned drive gear provides more than twice the gear strength of the previous Saltiga generation, helping maintain smooth, efficient power transfer when fighting powerful tuna and other large pelagic species.

Saltwater protection and drag performance are reinforced throughout the reel. A redesigned rear cover removes screws from the underside to help reduce potential water intrusion, while reinforced ABS construction helps isolate the cover from the aluminum body. The expanded drag stack uses additional washers for significantly increased durability, and an aluminum heat-dissipating drag knob helps manage heat during prolonged fights. Daiwa's ABS Longcast spool completes the platform with improved line management and efficient line release for increased casting performance.
