St. Croix Avid Inshore Series Spinning Rods

The St. Croix Avid Series Inshore Spinning Rods combine lightweight sensitivity, strength, and durability for a wide range of nearshore saltwater applications. The SCIII+ carbon blank blends high-modulus, high-strain SCIII carbon with super-high-modulus SCVI carbon in strategically selected areas to improve balance, responsiveness, and overall durability while reducing unnecessary weight. Integrated Poly Curve (IPC), Advanced Reinforcing Technology (ART), Taper Enhancement Technology (TET), and Fortified Resin System (FRS) technologies further refine blank performance for casting, vertical jigging, and working hard baits, soft plastics, jigs, and natural baits.

Stainless steel guide frames with Alconite rings provide durable line management and casting performance in saltwater environments, while a nylon reel seat with a stainless steel locking nut securely holds the reel. Agglomerated cork foregrips and reargrips provide a dense, comfortable gripping surface that resists the routine wear associated with rod holders, boats, kayaks, and shoreline fishing. Select models also feature a non-marking rubber gimbal and cork composite butt cap. Designed and handcrafted in Park Falls, Wisconsin, the series covers applications for striped bass, false albacore, redfish, seatrout, snook, and other inshore gamefish.
