The Ronstan Ball Bearing 2-Axis Blocks are lightweight, low-friction blocks designed for control lines and other applications requiring efficient movement under moderate to high static and dynamic loads. Precision-molded Acetal sheaves run on stainless steel or Torlon ball bearings to provide smooth operation and responsive line handling. Fiber-reinforced nylon cheeks provide rigidity while keeping overall weight low, and stainless steel load components add strength for demanding marine applications.
A dual-axis shackle head allows the block to be oriented in either plane depending on the rigging configuration. The head can be fixed at either 0 or 90 degrees, providing additional flexibility when aligning blocks with changing load directions or mounting points. The combination of low-friction bearings, durable materials, and adjustable orientation makes these blocks suitable for applications including boom vangs, backstay systems, halyard tuning systems, Cunninghams, and other sail-control arrangements.
