AFTCO Straight UNIBUTTS

The AFTCO Straight UNIBUTTS are one-piece aluminum rod butts and reel seats designed to provide exceptional strength, precise alignment, and reduced weight for heavy-duty trolling rods. Manufactured from high-quality marine alloy using AFTCO’s specialized swaging process, the unitized construction combines the handle and reel seat into a strong, streamlined assembly. The fixed hood, gimbal, and aligning pin-plug are permanently aligned so the reel, rod guides, and gimbal remain properly positioned.

Precision-machined ferrules allow compatible rod tip sections to be interchanged while maintaining a secure fit. An O-ring at the ferrule helps prevent corrosion between the ferrule and reel seat, while a low-friction ring inside the collet nut provides a snug connection, helps prevent galling, and makes the nut easier to remove. Available in multiple anodized finishes, AFTCO Straight UNIBUTTS provide a proven foundation for custom offshore trolling and big-game rod builds.
