Its high-quality design is precisely engineered with the tightest of machined tolerances, giving anglers the greatest control and ease of use when opening and attaching split rings to lures, hooks, and other pieces of terminal tackle. The pliers themselves are billet machined from 6082 T6 Aluminum and features a Prussian color Cerakote to enhance corrosion resistance, durability, and hardness. The (9) available inserts include (6) Cone Jaw options, each of which fit certain split ring sizes that can overlap, along with (3) Round Jaw options that match particular Cone Jaws. Each of the (9) stainless steel inserts are precision machined to 30 microns of tolerance, along with being hardened for great longevity. Inserts can be easily screwed into the jaws of the pliers themselves, and then tightened with the included Gedore wrench.
