Cortland Micron Backing (5000 yd Spools)

Cortland Micron Orange Fly Line Backing combines premium Dacron fibers with a tight, round 12-carrier braid for reliable performance in freshwater and saltwater. Its smooth, consistent profile packs evenly onto the reel and passes through the guides with minimal friction, while stretch-resistant construction, zero-twist handling and dependable knot performance help anglers stay connected during long runs.

Available in 20 lb and 30 lb strengths, Micron offers multiple spool lengths to accommodate individual reels, multiple setups and bulk spooling. The bright orange color makes the backing easy to identify on the reel and improves visibility when a fish runs beyond the fly line.
