At the heart of the design is Daiwa’s one-piece aluminum Monocoque Body, which replaces a conventional screw-mounted side plate with a threaded side plate that provides 360-degree support. This construction increases body rigidity while creating additional internal space for a larger, more powerful drive gear.

The oversized Hyper Digigear is machined from a harder grade of brass to provide smooth power transfer and durability under heavy loads, while Magsealed protection around the main shaft helps reduce saltwater and debris intrusion. A 13-bearing system contributes to smooth operation throughout the retrieve. Available in the faster 3500H with a 5.7:1 gear ratio and the 4000 with a 4.9:1 ratio, the Saltiga Bay Jigger series provides options for a variety of offshore jigging techniques.
