Century Excalibur
The Excalibur Boat Rods are heavy-duty offshore rods designed to cover an exceptionally wide range of applications, including trolling, chunking, deep dropping, stand-up fishing, and presenting pitch baits. Their full-carbon blanks combine a relatively soft tip with substantial lifting power, providing the sensitivity needed to fish rigged ballyhoo with circle hooks or detect subtle bites in depths approaching 1,000 feet while maintaining the backbone required for tuna exceeding 250 lb. The lightweight, small-diameter construction also helps reduce fatigue during prolonged stand-up fights.
Graphene reinforcement and Total Torsional Stability (TTS) give the blank the strength and stability to withstand extreme drag pressure while resisting blank roll under load. A Textreme carbon outer finish adds protection against chips and fractures while increasing responsiveness during the hookset. Each Excalibur is equipped with a Winthrop two-position Terminator butt, roller tip, American Tackle Titian Titanium Turbo Guides, and an oversized triangular comfort grip for a complete offshore setup capable of handling demanding big-game conditions.
